How to keep your house tidy in 30 minutes a day or less. Do these 6 things every day and enjoy a much cleaner home!
Iโm always shocked by how quickly my house can get messy! Is this you too?
Before I know it, I have a pile of dirty dishes in the sink, there is toothpaste splatters all in our bathroom sinks and the random mail is sitting out on the counters.
One day I finally figured out that if I just do a few quick tidying tasks every day, I donโt have to spend as much time cleaning the house!
I donโt want you to get stuck in the mindset of โiโll have more time for this tomorrow.โ
Because then you will put off your household tasks until that future day when you think you will all of a sudden have more time.
When it comes to keeping your home clean all the time, doing small consistent cleaning tasks are key.
And before you know it, you will have an orderly and clean home on a daily basis!

How To Keep Your Home Clean All The Time
1. Run your dishwasher every night + empty it in the morning
Get in the habit of running the dishwasher every night and emptying it every day.
This wayย you can load your dishwasher throughout the day with dirty dishes instead of the dishes accumulating in your sink.
Dishes can pile up quicker than you think and dirty dishes sitting out REALLY makes your house look messy!
If you have a smaller family or you live alone, you can obviously stretch this out to every other day if need be.
The idea is to have a place for the dirty dishes to go right away that is NOT the sink.
2. Sift through your mail as soon as you bring it in
I absolutely cannot stand paper clutter because it stresses me out.
Paper clutter is a common issue in alot of peopleโs homes. Maybe that includes your home.
So, as soon as you bring the mail in, you should sift through it.
If you still get mailed bills,ย open themย and placeย them in their own designated spot so you remember to come back and pay them.
We have a basket in our office where we place all our mail if we know weโre not opening all of it right when we bring it in. That way itโs at least not sitting out on the counter.

3. Do one load of laundry each day
Try to do one load of laundry everyday so that it doesnโt all pile up and you have to spend all weekend doing laundry. (That is the worst!)
The amazing thing about washers and dryers is they do pretty much all the work for you!
As part of my morning routine, I throw a load in the washer first thing in the morning.
Later I switch it to the dryer and I *try* to fold and put it away that same day or iโll push it until the following morning but I prefer not to do that if I can help it.
4. Make your bed
I try to incorporate making our bed into my *getting ready* routine whenever iโm brushing my teeth, taking morning vitamins etc.
Before I put on any make up for the day, I put on my starting my makeup, I apply myย CeraVe Eye Cream and Moisturizing Lotion. (I love CeraVe products!)
While the products are soaking in, I make our bed!
I donโt feel the need to make it perfect every single day. As long as the covers are pulled up smoothly and blankets are folded, youโre good!
Having your bed made is an instant facelift for your bedroom.
5. Keep your countertops wiped off
Since at this point youโve already taken care of your dishes and you sifted through your mail, clearing off your countertops should take no time at all.
I like to use disinfecting all-purpose spray like Lysol Spray Cleaner for wiping off my countertops.
Once youโre in the habit of always wiping off your kitchen countertops, try adding bathroom counters to your routine too.

6. Do 1 big cleaning task
Whatย you clean will change each time, but the idea is to do one big cleaning task each day.
This task could be dusting, cleaning the toilets, vacuuming floors or just whatever looks the dirtiest on that particular day.
By tackling one chore at a time, youโll hopefully never feel overwhelmed trying to keep your home clean ever again!
