Keep reading to find that answer.
Why You Need A Realistic Cleaning Schedule
There is nothing more unproductive than having unrealistic expectations when it comes to managing our homes.
Actually being productive starts with deciding what it is achievable and setting expectations from there.
Try this: write down 3 things to accomplish each day because when you have kids at home with you, expecting to be able to do any more than that is near impossible.
I also believe that my top priority every day is being there for my babies. Having to stop what i’m doing can be annoying, but it isn’t something I would change because I am glad I get the privilege of being home with them.
You will also likely find that if you create a crazy unrealistic cleaning schedule, you’ll probably end up not doing any of it anyway.
However, if you follow a more realistic cleaning schedule, then it’ll give you the motivation to keep going throughout your whole house!
What A Realistic Cleaning Schedule Looks Like
First off, write down the cleaning tasks that you feel are most important to get done.
These are usually cleaning the bathrooms and dusting surfaces.
Don’t write down things like unloading the dishwasher or daily vacuuming.
Those tasks are typical things we do as part of our daily routine.
How To Create A Realistic Cleaning Schedule
Creating your realistic cleaning schedule doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
I used Canva to create mine and then printed and laminated it so that I could use a dry erase marker to mark things off. Download my FREE Cleaning Schedule here!
If you’re more of a notes app girl, then you can jot down your cleaning tasks on there too.
Just remember to keep it simple and achievable.
You know your family better than anyone else, so there is zero shame in doing what works for you.
You can have all the schedules in the world, but you still need to be intentional about the routine you set and setting aside time to actually do the work!
So what is the most realistic cleaning schedule you should follow? It’s the one that is achievable and works best for you and your family. ♡
